How to Offer Your Website For Sale
By: Gina Hoover © 2008
If you have decided to sell your website
you want to give potential buyers as much information
as possible. Providing potential buyers with enough
information so they can make a decision as to whether
or not they want to buy your website. Don't waste
their time by not providing important information
and don't waste your own time entertaining someone
who is not going to buy your website because you left
some fact out.
Before you list your website for sale
you should have settled on a sale price for the website
and also the following information already prepared:
1) How old is the website?
2) How much money does the website make?
Monthly revenue?
3) What are the expenses for the website?
4) What are the high ranking keywords?
5) Where does the traffic come from?
Natural search engine listings, referrers, direct
type ins, etc.?
6) How many page views and unique visitors
are received per month?
7) Are there any high ranking incoming
links?
8) What is the websites PR (Page Rank)?
9) Is the content unique?
10) Provide website stats going back
at least 12 months.
If you list your website for sale online
be sure to include all of the above mentioned information
and your sale will go smoothly.
