How To Tell If Your Page Is Indexed In Google

If you’ve created a new page and want to tell if the page has been indexed by Google, go to http://www.google.com. In the search box, type in site: followed by the page url.

For example, if I wanted to see if my free web templates page had been indeed by Google, I’d type in


If I type in site:http://www.hooverwebdesign.com, I can see most of my website’s pages that Google has indexed on my website.

    This what i currently do to find indexed pages, but as you probably know, this gets really tedious on larger sites. I’m wondering if just putting the new URL in the search box will garner the desired result faster? It appears that non-existing pages give a “Your search did not match any documents” - think this is reliable at all?
