Submitting Your Website to Google

Google is one of the most popular search engines around and can deliver a lot of traffic (potential customers) to your website. Submitting to Google is as easy as signing up for a Google Webmaster Account and submitting a sitemap to them. This method is much better than submitting your web site one page at a time.

Having a Google Webmaster Account is great because it’s free. Also Google will spider your xml sitemap every few days and pick up on your newly created pages. You can check for errors with your site map and also see how many of your urls are included in the search engine. This information is very invaluable to keeping your website running smoothly.

To create your xml sitemap you can do use any number of sitemap creation tools. If your website is small you can quickly go to the Sitemapbuilder.net website to create your sitemap for free. Google usually picks up on updates to your sitemap quickly. Instead of waiting around to see when this happens, your time is better spent adding more unique content to your website. Before you know it you’ll be listed in Google.

Enjoy!
