Q. What is the License Agreement and Terms of Use for Hoover Web templates?

Q. Is the license a one-time fee payment?

A. Yes, the payment for your template is a one-time fee without any additional charges.

Q. Can I get a refund?

A. Per the web template license agreement we are not able to offer refunds once the product has been downloaded. You will need to read the license agreement, check out this FAQ and ask questions prior to purchase if you have special needs. Once your order has been approved you are given a unique username and password that will allow you to access the product download page.

Q. What I am allowed and not allowed to do with the templates?

A. You can use the template to build one (1) web site for personal or client use.

You cannot:

• Resell or redistribute templates (like we do).
• Redistribute the templates in any sitebuilder application.
• Claim intellectual or exclusive ownership to any of our products, modified or unmodified.
• Make more than one project using the same template (you have to purchase the same template once more in order to make another project with the same design).

Q. What forms of payments do you accept?

A. We accept credit cards through 2Checkout and PayPal (verified/confirmed email accounts only). Note, if you use a PayPal eCheck, your template download link will be sent to you once your eCheck has cleared and the funds have been deposited into our PayPal account. You can also arrange for you to pay with Western Union and Postal Money Orders. If you need any of these special payment arrangements please contact us.

Q. My order did not pass the verification process but I still want the template. Is there anything that I can do?

A. In some instances we will accept a Western Union payment. Contact us for more information.

Q. How are the web templates delivered?

A. Our web templates are delivered via email within 24 hours (expect to receive your template in an hour or less during business hours). All orders are processed manually and checked for fraud prior to the web templates download link being emailed to the customer. Telephone verification is necessary on most orders. If your order appears to be fraudulent it might take longer than 24 hours to verify.

Q. What will I receive when I order a template?

A. All of our templates come in a zip file format containing the html pages and graphics used to create the template. We recommend Winzip to unzip the zip file contents. You might also receive fonts, fireworks png file, flash source file, or flash swf file. Please check the template description to see what files you will receive. Most of our templates also come with instructions on how to edit the web template. The templates do not contain any programing or databases.

Q. Do you offer a warranty?

A. The templates are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. You are buying a template that can be turned into a web site. You are responsible for adding or editing your own website's content (e.g. text, photos, etc.) to the template yourself. If you are not familiar with using web templates, our means of support will be limited to instructions provided with the template and basic email support on setting up the template. If you need help with html, checkout our HTML tutorial. If you are having trouble setting up a template, please request a quote for us to add in your content to a template for you. In no event shall Hoover Web Design be liable for any damages including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or other losses arising out of the use of or inability to use the templates from Hoover Web Design.

Q. What kind of support do you offer?

A. Just about all of our web templates have detailed instructions included with them to tell you how to set up your web site. If you run into problems email support is available. Please note we only offer support for setting up our web templates as shown in the sample. If you need help with web design technology (html coding, programming flash, etc.), check out our web site resources which contain webmaster tutorials, webmaster how to's, html and flash Sitebuilders, free sound wavs, web site design articles, and much more!

Q. The template description says the template is "sliced" what does this mean?

A. This means the template is cut up into small pieces that are grouped together to form a complete homepage. For an example of a sliced template, download one of the free web templates.

Q. It's been like 2 days and I still haven't received my template?

A. If it's been over 24 hours and you have not heard anything from us, there is a probably a problem with your email account. A few customers with AOL accounts run into this problem. Kindly send us an email from the account you placed your original order with and let us know of an alternate email address (from another domain) that we may contact you at.

Q. I lost my template, can I download it again?

A. Yes, but you will have to pay a download link reactivation fee. Contact us for more information.

Q. Do you offer instant download?

A. No we do not.

Q. Can I purchase a template for use in my sitebuilder application? I'll let you know when I sell a template to purchase licenses for each template that I sell.

A. No, this violates our license agreement and constitutes reselling our web templates.

Q. Can I purchase a web template and post it for sale on my web site? I'll let you know when I sell the template to a customer and will buy a link removal at that time.

A. No, this violates our license agreement and constitutes reselling our web templates.

Q. How are the templates designed?

A. Our Web templates are designed with Macromedia Dreamweaver and optimized for PC's running Internet Explorer Version 4 or greater. Some templates allow you to make modifications to the designs. Others don't. This would depend on the template so if you have specific requirements for a template, please ask before you make a purchase.

Q. Where do the graphic come from that are used in the templates?

A. The graphics used in our templates are all royalty free and come from a variety of sources. The great majority of the images come from image disks by Photodisc, Eyewire, Inmagine, Idreamstock, Corbis, Hemera, etc. Some of the images are drawn by our staff and other were taken by our staff with a digital camera.

Q. Can I add a shopping cart to the templates?

A. Generally speaking yes. You would just place your buy me or add to cart buttons/product image in the text area of the web template. Hoover recommends using 2Checkout or PayPal with our templates.

Q. Are Photoshop PSD source files included with the templates? Can I change the images on the templates?

A. Unless otherwise stated, Photoshop PSD source files are not included with the templates. The template description tells you what you will receive if you purchase a template. The html pages are sliced and you will receive .gif or .jpg graphic files along with all of the necessary html files needed to use the web template. In some cases (not many) you might be able to change the images on the template but you should ask first. If you like a template but want to change an image, the fonts or colors, you should request that the template be customized for you.

Q. Can I use Front Page to edit the templates?

A. Yes. It's extremely easy to add your content to a template with FrontPage. We have created a short tutorial that shows you step by step how to edit a web template with Front Page.

Q. Can I purchase a template and remove the link to Hoover Web Design if I did not pay for link removal?

A. No, you shouldn't do this. We do regular Internet searches for our web templates and if we find them on sites that are not registered with us as having purchased a template or, are not noted as paying for link removal we will prosecute the offending site for Copyright Infringement.

Q. I bought a template a while ago and did not want to pay for link removal until the site was set up on the Internet. Can I pay the link removal fee now?

A. Yes, visit our link removal payment page. The link removal is equal to the cost of the web template. The template prices change from time to time so make sure you pay the same price as you paid for the web template.

Q. I don't have a web page editor or a graphic editor. Can you give me one?

A. Sure, we can give you a copy of FrontPage Express, a freeware html editor similar to FrontPage. View a short tutorial on FrontPage Express. If you'd like to buy a html editor we recommend Dreamweaver or FrontPage. The templates were created using Dreamweaver.

Q. I want to buy a web template but don't have web design knowledge. Can you add my text and graphics inside of the template for me?

A. Yes, please assemble your text and anything that you want to be included in your web site and request a free quote.

Q. I bought a template and it is assigned to one domain, but I would like to use it on another domain.

A. No problem, delete the template from the first domain and contact us with the new domain that the template is to be assigned to. If you want the template to be on two domains, you will need to buy an additional license. We may be able to give you a discount on this.

Q. What's the best way to search for a template?

A. Use our template search engine. Type in one keyword and hit Enter. Make sure your keyword has more than 3 letters as the engine will pick up all instances of the word you typed in. For example if you type in car, templates with keywords like daycare and cards will also come up because "car" is in both words.

Q. I am a web designer, can I use one of your templates for a customer?

A. Yes, you may. If you choose a linkware license use the following convention on your customers page:

Q. I am a web designer, can I purchase a web template and post it on my site as a web design that I offer to my clients. I will design the site myself and I understand that I will have to get a separate license for each web site that I build.

A. Absolutely not. This violates the license agreement. You can not redistribute Hoover Web Design templates in this manner. We would have no way of knowing whether you are purchasing a template for each customer site you sell.

Q. I am a web designer. Can I get a preview of a template without your watermark? I would like to discretely show it to my client?

A. Yes, we can send you a thumbnail image of a template (inside and outside page) without our watermark for a small fee. Click here for more information.

Q. Can I buy a template and put it on any number of web sites that I want?

A. No, you would have to purchase additional licenses for each website that you install the web template on.

Q. Can I copy your template images and show them on my website for clients to choose from?

A. No, you may not copy our images and save them to your server. You may link to our site if you need to, but that's it. Do not link directly to our images or copy our text. No page or image on the Hoover Web Design web site should be copied or saved. Every page and every graphic is copyrighted material. For those that commit copyright infringement your web host will be notified and this is a violation of the Terms of Service for most hosts. It's not worth loosing your web hosting so don't do it.

Q. Can I buy a template from your site and resell it?

A. The only templates that may be resold with our permission are our resellable web templates. Selling other Hoover Web Design templates is strictly prohibited.

Q. Can I download your web site and view it off line?

A. No, absolutely not. This violates our copyright. Text and graphics created by Hoover Web Design are not to be redistributed in any manner whatsoever. Off-line readers are not allowed on our web site and those who use them will be banned.

Q. Do you have any general instructions for using Hoover Web Templates?

Q. Do you have resellable web templates?

A. Yes, you can sell professional web page templates from your web site and keep 100% of the profit. If you can send email you can make money! Click here to check out details of the program.

Q. Are there any alternatives to Online Shopping?

A. If you prefer not to pay for your purchase online, we accept postal money orders.
