Spring Break originated with the ancient Greeks. Socrates proposed a wild rite to welcome spring and allow young people a chance to vent. After this Spring Break was born. Through the years many attempts have been made, by various religions, to stop Spring Break. But Spring Break has prevailed and the beach parties are still going on today. Spring Break Starts in late February and lasts until late April. It is normally a week long party for young people to unwind and get ready to finish out the school year.

Spring Break is the perfect opportunity to take a break and stop and smell the flowers. Relax and spend some time laying on a beach somewhere. Most school age kids get out of school for the entire week so it's a good time to take a family vacation. Normally my family will go somewhere in Florida like Pensacola or Miami but this year we are going to Orange Beach, Alabama. It's still in the Gulf Shores so I know we'll have a great time. A lot of college kids go to several cities in Florida to blow off some steam like Gulf Breeze, Miramar Beach, Panama City and more.
